Pauline Alldis
About Me
My name is Pauline Alldis, and I am a portrait, figurative and wildlife artist from Sunderland, UK. I work mainly in oils and watercolour. I specialise in highly detailed wildlife and figurative portraiture, and my body of work has sold worldwide. My figurative works often lean heavily on the use of light and shade, often using a limited pallet of colours. I try to use composition to create a romance or mystery within my works.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in my late thirties, and initially this didn’t stop my passion or ability to paint. My painitings did however take longer to create. Now, in my fifties, the MS has decided to focus on my right hand, my painting hand. Hopefully this will pass, but until then, I will concerntrate on creating high quality prints of my previous works, of which I am very proud. I also have a handful of original paintings still unsold, some of which are available on this website.
I hope to be actively painting again soon, and I thank my friends and family for their support.
I hope my paintings bring you as much pleasure as they have given me while creating them.
